Who This Covers
Seaweed Harvest supports participating seaweed aggregators, community groups, collectors, and farmers. The organisation that provides your access controls how its operational records are used. Seaweed Harvest technical administrators maintain the shared software and database.
Information Collected
The service may hold account and contact details, farmer and community registry details, farm size, seaweed collection and payment records, notes, audit history, and the identity or entered name of the collector. A collection can also include GPS coordinates and photos when the collector chooses those features.
Why It Is Used
Information is used to record purchases and harvests, calculate collection values, produce receipts and operational reports, maintain registries, correct records, secure access, and support participating organisations and farmers.
Offline Records
The mobile app can keep pending collections and compressed photos in private storage on the device until reception returns. Pending records are uploaded when the user starts or confirms synchronisation. Removing the app or clearing its storage can remove records that have not yet synchronised, so users should check the waiting-record count first.
Storage And Sharing
Synchronised records are stored using Supabase cloud services. Information is available only to authorised participating users and service administrators according to their permissions. It may be processed by essential hosting, authentication, app-distribution, and support providers. Seaweed Harvest does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Security And Retention
The service uses access controls, audit records, HTTPS transmission, and device application storage. Records are retained for operational, payment, accountability, and legal needs set by the participating organisation. No digital system can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
Camera, photo, and location access can be declined, although the related collection feature will then be unavailable. Contact the participating organisation or system administrator to request access, correction, export, or deletion where applicable. Some transaction records may need to be retained for financial or legal reasons.
